Important Notes:

As with any entry to Canada, you must fulfill the normal eligibility criteria for entry.

The groups apply to your nationality and not the residence of your medical school. If you are a citizen of a country that is not member of IFMSA, please check

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp for further information.

Please note: It is the responsibility of every delegate to ensure they obtain appropriate visa(s) for their attendance at the GA and/or Pre-GA. The Organising Committee of AM2010 has no influence in the decision process of Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

It is suggested that you apply for your visa(s) as early as possible and that you verify your need for a transit visa.

If you are unclear of your visa requirements or are unsure of any information regarding visas; visit the AM2010 visa page,  http://www.montrealam2010.com/Montreal_AM_2010/Visa_Information.html or contact the AM2010 Visa Coordinator, James Ricciardone at visa@montrealam2010.com

3 Tips for a hassle-free visa experience

1)Apply Early

The AM 2010 team has opened up registration earlier than usual, to allow you enough time to apply for your visa. But do not wait to apply! Some visa offices requires more than 2 months for processing.

2)Have all your documents

Know what you need to support your application. There are differing requirements, depending on your visa office. Visit the main visa page (can you have a link to it) and click on your country to find out more.

3)Ask for help

The visa co-ordinator, James Ricciardone, is here to help with any visa issues     that you may have. Contact him at visa@montrealam2010.com

Remember, applying for a visa is your responsibility. The AM 2010 OC or IFMSA, have no influence on the decision made by Canadian Immigration.
